Q1: Who is this coaching for?
This coaching is for highly educated and hardworking professionals who feel they are playing a game where everyone else was handed the rulebook at birth except themselves. They are in the room, but not at the table. They are treated with respect, but like a janitor, a lower level being, an outsider. It is for anyone who came from the wrong side of the tracks, who came from humble origins, who has realized the rules of the game were not written for them, were not written by their own parents, and that they are not even allowed to know what the rules are, but has a burning desire to apply themselves for success and personal self-actualization.
Q2: How is this coaching different from mainstream career coaching?
This coaching goes far deeper than polishing a resume or running a mock interview. Those are surface-level cosmetics, they are superficial mimicry. They hand you a bunch of cookie-cutter scripts to memorize. They lack deep substance.
The result is, you come across as a copycat, everyone can see you are a social robot, you are very rigid, everyone can see right through your game, and you live in fear of being exposed, so you put on a hard exterior shell, to cover up the fragile true inner self which is living in constant fear.
This coaching, on the other hand, will teach you the deep substance, so you have the ability to understand the human dynamics, so you can outsmart and out navigate the storm.
Q3: What results can I expect from coaching?
You will learn skills in communication, influence, persuasion, presentation, and negotiation, all built on the reality of human dynamics. Gaining these skills will give you true inner self-confidence. Everyone around you will respect you more, naturally want to hear what you have to say, and actively want to team up with you. You will know how to utilize any situation you are in to your advantage, no matter how good, bad, or ugly, and create the best possible win-win outcome for everyone. Everyone will love you for it. Even your enemies will respect you and want to become your allies.
If you are an individual contributor:
You will learn how to utilize the corporation you work for to fuel your own advancement. You will create genuine collaborative bonds with the people you work with, and you will know exactly how to evaluate projects, sorting out the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Most importantly, you will know how to manage your managers. Even when dealing with managers who are less than ideal, you will have the enlightened wisdom to turn the situation to your favor, thanks to the emotional intelligence and, more importantly, emotional maturity, that you will learn from this coaching.
Ugly managers will not stress you out anymore, and your anxiety of praying for a good manager will completely vanish. And that ugly manager? You might become his manager someday, and he will love to have you as his leader.
If you have been given leadership responsibility:
You will know how to become the sort of leader people would love to follow. You will learn how to get your team members to want to do the tasks you need them to do. You will know exactly who to hire, coach, and promote, and more importantly, who NOT to hire, coach, and promote. You will not only master how to effectively coach your team members, but also how to coach your best performers on how to coach the rest of the team. You will cultivate a genuine, co-learning atmosphere that builds immense employee loyalty toward you - not the corporation, but you the individual.
If you have already started your own business:
You will know exactly how to deal with customers, vendors, employees, partners, and investors, and how to negotiate to create a true win-win in every single interaction.
Bonus lifestyle benefits:
You will become better at all other aspects of your life too. True self-actualization impacts everything: selecting a high-quality partner, collaborating smoothly with your partner, raising high-quality kids, gaining a broader perspective on long-term family and social responsibilities, and being far more capable at taking care of your aging parents.
Q4: Why won't universities teach me this?
The modern education system was originally designed in 19th-century Germany to turn illiterate peasants into employees who are skilled enough to work in factories. Their education gave them the ability to operate machines, maintain machines, and design machines, but no more. It was all for the purpose of helping the factory generate more profit. It was never meant to create true independent strategic thinkers who think for themselves. That higher level of education has always been available, but it was not available to the masses. It was preserved strictly on a completely different track, available only to the generational rich and powerful.
Fast forward to today: Universities teach technical skills so graduates are smart enough to work for a business. They train you to understand tasks given to you, perform tasks given to you, and follow rules. Rules created by others for you, but not for those who created them. Universities do not teach you how to truly think for yourself or how to actually advance yourself. They completely ignore the existence of human dynamics: how Homo sapiens actually feel, think, and act. They ignore the absolute chaos created when incentives, power, insecurity, and ego are all mixed into a single cocktail, and how to make sense of this chaos, how to survive and thrive in this chaos.
Q5: Why won't corporate training teach me this?
The purpose of a business is to make a profit, make a profit for the owners. Corporate internal training and HR programs only exist to help the business make more money and prevent the business from losing money. The only reason they provide training to you is to improve your efficiency, your efficiency as a worker bee to make a profit - for them. They will never teach you how to truly think for yourself or how to truly advance yourself. You will have to learn that, on your own.
Q6: Why won't mainstream career, business, and life coaching teach me this?
Mainstream coaches tell you what you need to accomplish, but they won't teach you the how. They won't teach you the how because they simply do not know the how.
They will not touch the topic of true human dynamics with a ten-foot pole because they have never done the deep internal work required to understand true human nature.
They don't even understand your struggle, because most of them do not have your lived experience, the struggle you went thru, and the struggle you are facing.
Q7: Why won't most managers truly teach me?
They also don't know. They are in the exact same situation as you are. Having the bigger title does not mean they are wiser than you
Conflict of interest. They need you to be their best worker bee, for as long as they need you
They do not know how to teach. When they do want or even need to teach you something, even if it's for their own personal, immediate benefit, most of them don't know how to explain, teach, and coach what they know.
This is why, in my leadership training, I teach leaders the benefit to themselves of: understanding human dynamics, teaching human dynamics to their employees, and knowing how to explain, teach, and coach what they know. I show them how to cultivate a culture of helping each other learn real insights and wisdom within the team, and how this way of thinking creates genuine and sincere loyalty from employees to the manager. This is a person-to-person, human-to-human loyalty, which must never be confused with loyalty between employees and a corporation—which does not exist in reality.
Q8: Who are you, and why did you build this?
I was that highly schooled, 80 hours a week professional who came from wrong side of the tracks, kept down like a worker bee by a system that was designed to make sure I did not understand the system. I figured the system out by myself, for myself, using a method called "first principles" advocated by the famous scientist Richard Feynman. I broke free by myself, for myself.
Others started seeking me out to coach them, and I even taught business leadership seminars for a national seminar company all over the United States of America.
I am an industry insider of the corporate training industry, the mainstream coaching industry, and their relationship with corporate HR. I know exactly how corporations organize training and coaching. Because I attended so many HR training seminars as an observer, I understand the HR mindset deeper than HR professionals understand it themselves.
But helping big business get even richer is not my calling, for my heart is with the hardworking professional who came from humble origins and is struggling.
